Any info. on these guys? I have heard a few good things...never a complaint. But I also have never seen a post here about them. 15% sign-up bonus if you use SBR and 10cent B-ball lines.

Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks

This might be the most progressive book on the planet right now.. I never have seen a book constantly adding new feutures to their website, their technology is excellent also. Great for the small to medium player. Very wide variety of betting options there. They pay also.

Thanks JJgold. I'll wait for a few hours here to see what others might say about them

I am having trouble accessing their website at the moment. They appear to be down. I will most likely load up w/ them for at leat a dime, that is if I can get their site to come up

Suet,
VIP is one the safest book in the world, however they are geared toward the small player. If you are sharp your limits will be cut dramatically (mine were cut to $50), but that's not necessarily a bad thing as it keeps them in a strong financial situation.

They have ...
- nice loyalty points system, free (and fast) NETeller deposits and withdrawals.
- nice software
- dime line MLB
- semi-unique lines
- good cs
- nice selection of events

A perfect fit for the small guy (especailly if you like to play dogs)

I've seen nothing negative about them, other than their low limits.

Be careful though, and make sure it's the REAL VIP (vipsports.com). There are at least 3 imitators out there with similar sounding names.

This is one of the best business models in the industry. I really like Alistair who was one of the original internet GM's but one of the few who was a sharp customer service business man not an ex street bookie.

The business model is simple;
100% post up
Diverse product mix between book, casino & race book
Limit wise guys and chase steamers/scalps/middlers

What some don't remember was way back in the beginning VIP was the first book you could get lines for free without joining the book.(how many of you remember when you had to pay to join a offshore sportsbook
icon_confused.gif
) They were the 1st to have fully automated online withdraws.

And of course VIP pioneered the bailouts we know today with the best bailout offer still to this day...with a little help

Buzzsaw:

I know these guys advertise on your site, and that you want to say nice things about them, but the statement above about VIP is NOT true, and I have told you so in about 3 other threads on them or a related book.

VIP (and all books that they manage) will limit/chase/boot all WINNERS....period. They try to deceive posters by saying it's just steamers, etc., but that is not true.

This book (just like Gameday, Wagerstreet, Easybets, etc.) is deathly afraid of anyone who has a clue, and they will take all measures to get rid of that type of player.

There are enough good things to say about VIP without resorting to repeating this bogus claim.

Please don't repeat this false propaganda again.

Samurai, I really have no problem with that type of strategy (boot winners). Just so they let you play thru your bonus requirements
icon_wink.gif
AND PAY.

Also, probably the reason they have only a 2x rollover is see how good you are. i.e. you beat them, you're out.

I think that strategy is short-sighted and cowardly, but it's their business and they can run it however they want....as long as they are honest about it.

VIP, and the other books mentioned above, have not been honest about the way they handle winners.

Hi all,

Sorry to report that our sites here in the Bon Bini building are still down. Our ISP informs us AT+T continue to have routing problems up in the US that is disrupting their connection down here. Frustrating that we can get out, but you cannot get in...

Here are the phone numbers for all the books in the building:

VIP 800 606 3576
Wall Street 800 486 7040
Gameday 800 386 2387
Sunny Sports 800 896 2628
5 Card Charlie 800 414 5523
Fairdeal 800 769 5651
Bet 19 800 888 6294
Sirbet 800 753 3140

If I can maintain my connection here I will post any updates - very sorry for the inconvenience.
We will be moving our entire datacenter to the main telco building here on Curacao in July, and at the same time adding more satellite redundancy - no-one can ever be 100% perfect on uptime, but we are investing heavily to come as close as we can.

Thanks again for your understanding,
Alistair

So by Allstair not addressing what Samurai has said just confirms that what he says is true. The book just wants losers and if you are a winner they show you the door.

STEAM/SCALPERS/MIDDLERS HAVE ZERO TO DO WITH IT.YOU WIN AND WE THROW YOU OUT. I HAVE HEARD THIS BEFORE SO IT'S NOTHING NEW THE VIP FAMILY OF BOOKS JUST WANTS YOU IF YOU ARE A TYPICAL SUCKER.

97% of those who bet consistently on sports... are consistent losers. So my guess is...these guys haven't booted too many people

Hi,

We are all back and fully online again - sorry for the problems today.

I didnt mean to dodge any issues there Frankie, but we have a lot on our plates right now. I think the forum know us well enough to know our sites are perfectly acceptable to most players out there.
I dont have the time to devote to refuting the same old allegations every time our name is mentioned - feel free to play elsewhere if you like - but let's not exaggerate any issues - no book can answer the needs of every single player out there - we do our best - no more, no less.

Good luck today - and every day,
Alistair

Frankie,
VIP boots steamers, middlers and scalpers for sure because they suck the value out of the lines and out of the bonuses that VIP would rather offer to the 99% of the players.

Actually it's 99.997%

In an interview with VIP SBR was told that VIP had 11,000 active players in 2002 and during the same year had booted 11 players.

If you got booted from VIP in 2002 you should be proud of yourself.

I personally think the model is solid and the benefits are given back to the 99.997% of the players via rewards, good lines to shoot at and bonuses.

If you would rather play at Pinnacle or Grande because there is zero chance of getting the boot then God bless you.
